Past Events & Concerts

Photocharity has raised over $1.3 million in six years to save homeless youth in San Diego. To date, B.B King has been our biggest music angel. Over $140,000 has been raised from the sale of guitars autographed by him. In addition, at least twice a year, We have been fortunate to meet with him when he is in town. Photocharity now has his permission to honor him at a concert. The goal of this concert is to give artists the opportunity to honor him and to raise funds and awareness to expand our coverage of homeless youth from ages 12-17 to age 12-24 year olds. Our goal, as a result of the concert, is to fund several 3 year programs in different cities that will house, feed, instruct life skills, and job readiness training for 18-24 year olds. Each program will cost $1 million dollars to fund resulting in the youth being self sufficient.. There are currently no emergency shelters in San Diego (and most cities) for this age group that will train them in life skills. Once funded, San Diego Youth & Community Services (SDYCS) will continue to obtain funding for this program without need for our assistance. It is our plan to name the shelter in San Diego after B.B. King.
